Contact form data, storage, six-month retention, email handling, safeguards and your rights.
Controller and scope
Digital Place is responsible for handling enquiries submitted through this website. Contact us at contact@digitalplace.ma or No. 21, 14 Boulevard Pasteur, Résidence Mirador, 4th floor, 90020 Tangier, Morocco. This policy covers digitalplace.ma and its contact form. Services reached through external links, including demonstrations, have their own data handling scope.
Information collected and purposes
The form collects your name, email address, organisation or educational institution, selected subject, message, language and receipt date. We use this information to understand your enquiry, reply and follow up. Subjects may include a project, partnership or final-year internship application. The form’s fields are required for submission; you can also email us directly.
The form does not accept attachments. Do not send passwords, access keys, identity documents, health information or other sensitive data. For an application, a brief account of your studies, interests and work is sufficient for an initial discussion. Sending a message does not subscribe you to a newsletter.
Storage, email and recipients
Valid messages are saved in the website database by server-side logic. There is no public read access. They are intended for authorised Digital Place staff handling enquiries. A copy is sent to contact@digitalplace.ma over an authenticated SMTP connection using Hostinger. Your email address is used as the reply address, rather than the technical sender.
Storage takes place before email delivery: a delivery problem can therefore leave an enquiry in the database even when the form reports a failure. The mail service and operators needed to transport the email also process the copy as part of their service.
Retention: six months
Contact messages are kept in the database for six calendar months from receipt. An automatic purge removes expired entries when the service starts and during its daily cleanup. Removal may therefore occur at the next daily run after expiry. The form does not store your IP address alongside the message.
Copies received by email are managed within the mail service and are not deleted by the database purge. Database backups may also contain messages: access must remain restricted, and a restoration must reapply the purge before service resumes. Permanent archiving of enquiries in the active database is not intended.
Browsing, cookies and safeguards
The public website does not implement audience analytics, advertising trackers or tracking cookies. The contact form does not save its fields in localStorage or sessionStorage. Field values and the time entry started remain in page memory until submission, reload or closure. Website fonts and graphics are served locally.
The server protects the form against abusive submissions by validating requests and limiting their frequency. In the current configuration, without a trusted proxy, rate limiting uses a shared counter held temporarily in memory; attempts expire after one hour. Form content and detailed SMTP errors are not written to application logs. Operational components may generate technical logs; their access and retention rules depend on the deployed environment.
Your rights and requests
You may request access to your data, correction and exercise your right to object under Morocco’s Law No. 09-08. To request deletion or ask a question, email contact@digitalplace.ma and identify the relevant enquiry. Depending on the request, we may ask only for information necessary to verify your identity.
